Barbara Dolce

My beautiful mother Barbara Dolce died on January 25, 2023. She fought to the very end to stay here with us, through Covid and pneumonia, but her body had been failing her these last few months. She was always a fighter, fiercely protective of those she loved. She had a sharp sense of humor, loved Bravo shows and going shopping and out to eat and her adopted hometown of Kennebunk. But most of all she loved her family, my dad for 60+ years, me and my brothers and especially her grandchildren. She often told people how proud she was of the people they’d become and how tickled she was to see many of them grown into adults. And while she didn’t live long enough to experience the weddings and great-grandchildren she longed to see, we know she’ll be with us for all the future holds. While we are devastated to lose her, we are grateful for the time we had, the I love yous we got to say and hear in return, and that we could be with her at the end.
