It’s Kennebunk’s official Bicentennial Day! A decision on June 24, 1820 split the towns of Wells and Kennebunk (though the towns actually separated July 31, 1820 – so we’ll celebrate then, too!).
Join the Museum for virtual events all day, including the Distance Challenge Virtual Race Start (learn more here), and a special historic weathervane unveiling after its return from the conservator. Additionally, Museum staff will put on a special Bicentennial history virtual lecture on what events led to Wells and Kennebunk splitting.
The lecture will be streaming on the Museum’s Youtube Channel and Facebook Live starting at 6:00pm. You do not need to register ahead of time, simply visit one of the services above and join us!
