Earthly Observations: Artist Perspectives on Climate opens in the Patsy Bauman Gallery on July 14, 2023, and runs through September 3rd.
This multi-artist show displays 2D and 3D artworks that illustrate our changing climate and artists’ responses to these challenging world issues. Climate changes over time have sped up against the Earth’s natural timeline due to human overuse, and those living in Maine and other coastal areas have a front row seat to see those changes during their lifetimes.
Artwork is shown inside the gallery and outside in the Museum’s center courtyard.
Artists in the show include:
Cole Caswell
Kate Cheney Chappell
Anna Dibble
Elizabeth Kelley
Andrea Kimmich Keyser
Rhonda Smith
…plus a community art project “Community Clothesline”
A public artists’ reception for this exhibition will occur on Saturday, July 22 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm. Free and open to all!
