The Museum is proud to welcome Elizabeth James-Perry, a member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head-Aquinnah, to host a live lecture (via Zoom) at 2:00pm on Monday, October 12, supported by the Museum’s Rogers Lecture Fund.
Recognizing the importance of Indigenous People’s Day (in Maine and throughout our nation), James-Perry will speak on 21st century indigenous art and culture; and the work being done in regional museums and institutions to become better allies and truthtellers with regional tribes. Q&A to follow.
This lecture is FREE and open to the public.
