William Barry was the uncle of Museum founder Edith Barry. Upon his death, William left the Brick Store (his grandfather William Lord’s store) to his niece Edith and her two surviving siblings, who later opened the Brick Store Museum to celebrate William’s passion for local history and art in 1936.
