Rose Mary Donovan
Rose Mary was a devoted daughter, a dear friend, a caring sibling, a thoughtful aunt, a selfless mother and an adoring grandmother. She valued kindness and honesty as guiding principles. Rose Mary was a feminist who raised three daughters to know their strength yet never underestimate the support from family and friends. She was a liberal who detested all forms of oppression. She could not tolerate racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia or sexism. She was an avid reader who needed a strong black coffee and the Boston Globe to start her day. She was a life-long Marblehead resident who loved going to the beach to refresh her soul. She relied on her Catholic faith when life was challenging and found peace in her faith when life was quiet
Rose Mary would say that she did not have material wealth yet she had an abundance of love and isn’t that enough?
