Mobile Exhibit Program
Stories for the whole community. Bring artifacts and archives to visit your site through the Museum’s Mobile Exhibit Program.

About the Program
The Brick Store Museum holds 55,000 artifacts and archives relating to Kennebunk history, art and culture. The Mobile Exhibit Program helps the Museum get more artifacts on view throughout our community, expanding opportunities to view local history and art outside of our Exhibitions at the Museum.
The Mobile Exhibits Program brings displays to locations throughout our community via rolling exhibit cases that both protect our artifacts and share their histories. The traveling cases were crowdfunded through a community campaign and constructed by Museum volunteers.
Are you interested in becoming a display site? Read on to learn how you can help to celebrate our region’s heritage and become a partner in preserving the past to inspire the future.
Become a Display Site
Made to fit anywhere (i.e. a small lobby, a busy school entry, a community common area), a BSM Mobile Exhibit provides three-dimensional views of our shared art, history and cultures. Cases are loaned to businesses and organizations for free (though donations are always accepted!).
The cases are lightweight but durable (with wheels for easy travel), and have vitrines locked with tamper-proof screws. Museum objects are insured by the Museum while on loan to your site – so you don’t have to worry about anything.
The Museum has developed a menu of mini-exhibits from which you can choose (see below). Exhibits can be stationary, or be changed at regular intervals. When reserving a mobile exhibit case, be prepared to tell us the contact information for your site, as well as where you’d like to place the case (some location limits may apply).
