Edith’s Cookbook

About the Book

Edith’s Cookbook: Treasured Recipes & Women’s Lives is a reproduction of bound recipes collected by Museum founder Edith Barry that are now part of the Museum’s Archives. The recipes represent over two centuries of cooking as written by Barry’s friends, family and ancestors. The vintage recipes are fun to read and test! Intermixed in the book are biographies of the women who contributed the recipes, plus historical interpretations by two Museum historians and two local chefs.
