The Brick Store Museum’s All Souls’ Walk began its annual Hallowmas season tradition in 2002, with a guided walk through neighboring Hope Cemetery. Now, nearly twenty years later, the event’s popularity continues!
The All Souls’ Walk invites participants into Hope Cemetery & Woods, led by a knowledgeable tour guide, to “meet” the ghosts of Kennebunk’s past and learn about the lives of residents that came before us.
Stories and experiences range from funny, to sad, to passionate, to mystifying. Not too spooky, it’s the perfect Halloween activity for the whole family. The tour lasts about 75 minutes, and covers roughly a 1/2 mile through the cemetery.

New this year (2021):
As participants are waiting to depart on their tours and return to the Museum afterward, there is an opportunity for local artisans to exhibit and sell their works in an Autumn-themed fair that could become another Halloween staple for the community! Starting this year, the Museum invites artists and makers to apply using this application (PDF) to take part in this Fair paired with the All Souls’ Walk.
